Water meter and water consumption
BEFORE READING YOUR METER
If you live in a single-family house, we will send you a report card once a year where you fill in your readings. Your water meter is replaced every eighth year.
The year's invoicing is based on the estimated consumption according to your water meter reading.
It's a good idea to submit your meter readings several times a year for more accurate invoicing.
To other types of housing than single-family homes we come and read the water meters once a year. If you own such a house you can submit your own meter readings, apart from our annual reading, for more accurate invoicing. But the meter readings you submit do not replace VA SYD's own meter reading on the spot.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WATER METER
Your water meter is the property of VA SYD. As the owner of a building, it is your responsibility to make sure that the water meter is not damaged. If it should be damaged, call VA SYD and we will replace the water meter for a fee.
YOUR WATER CONSUMPTION
If you suspect that the estimated water consumption stated on your invoice is not in accordance with your actual water consumption there could be several reasons for this. Maybe the number of people living in your house has changed, or you have a dripping toilet, or another similar problem.
