Moving out? 

There is a lot to remember when you change residence.  

CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP 

If you are moving from a single-family house, you must report change of ownership to VA SYD. Your water and waste subscription can only be cancelled if you are moving out of your house. 

This is how you do it: 

• Report change of residence, and make over the subscriptions to the new owner, on the Change of Ownership Form.
  
  
• Submit the current water meter reading.
  
  
• Both you and the new owner sign the form and then the seller submits the form to VA SYD. The subscription costs will then be charged to the new owner.

A lot of things left over? 

When moving out you will often have things left that you don't want to bring to the new house. 

Think twice before throwing anything away! The things you don't want could be someone else's bargain. There are several charity organisations, second-hand stores and flea markets happy to receive your discarded things. 

You can also bring your things to Sysav's manned Recycling Centres and put them in the container for "used but still usable" things. And bring along your broken stuff and other unusable things, such as electronic waste and hazardous waste. See on the map below where you can find the Recycling Centres in Malmö.
