IRRIGATION DURING LONG PERIODS OF HEAT AND DROUGHT 

Hot and dry weather means higher water consumption. As a municipal resident, you can help by not using too much water. 

Never hesitate to use water for drink and food - but there are other things to consider: 

• It takes 12,000 litres of drinking water to fill an above ground swimming pool
   
• Run your washing machine and dishwasher only when they are full
   
• Take quick showers
   
• Fix leaking taps
