Local waste sorting results
Today, the residents of Malmö and Burlöv are good at recycling mainly glass packaging and newspapers. More than 65 per cent of the glass packages and more than 70 per cent of all newspapers are recycled.
METAL, PAPER AND PLASTIC COULD BE sorted better
But residents of Malmö and Burlöv are not as good at recycling metal, paper and plastic packaging. Today only around 32 per cent of the metal packaging, 24 per cent of the paper packaging and 11 per cent of the plastic packaging are recycled.
Together we get much better at waste sorting! So if you are not already waste sorting — start now!
REDUCE THE WASTE QUANTITY
Buy products with as little packaging as possible and take the packaging to the Recycling Stations. Or why not start a recycling station near you, by your house or on your block?
