Missed bin collection

A missed bin can be due to circumstances which the contractor has no control over. VA SYD is in charge of the waste management in Malmö and Burlöv.

REMEMBER

• Your bin must not be overfull and heavy to pull, according to the regulations of The Swedish Work Environment Authority (Arbetsmiljöverket). 
  
• Your bin should be placed on the appointed site before collection time.
  
• The refuse collectors must have easy access to the bin. If you for example change the lock or code of a gate or door leading to the bin, it is important that you contact the collectors in good time. 
  
• The refuse bin cannot be emptied if cars or other obstacles block the way to the bin. 
  
• During wintertime, it is difficult for the refuse collectors to get to the bin if the walkway is slippery and there is a lot of snow. Keep the walkway shovelled and sanded or salted.
