VA SYD's Display Attracted Attention

In June we presented Swedish know-how about eco-cycle solutions in world class together with Sysav - the South Scania Waste Company.
Our display focused on examples from the Western Harbour - a residential area with successful sustainable development. We received a lot of attention from the Chinese newspapers and national TV.
One of the families living in the Western Harbour symbolize the everyday life in the area. Visitors were able to open five display cases based on the five themes below. Meet the family and view the information about:
- Water and Nutrients in Circulation
- Sustainable Urban Drainage
- Material Recycling
- Biogas and Fertilizer from Food Waste
- Nothing Disappears
To view each display case, click on the links above or on the red icons to the right.
Besides local Chinese guides from the City of Malmö, staff from VA SYD and Sysav were also present during the exhibition.

Main Theme and Contribution at the Exhibition
The theme of the whole exhibition is Malmö – making sustainability reality. 320 square metres focus on the development of one residential area in Malmö - the Western Harbour.
Malmö's contribution is Malmo: Urban Sustainable Development in a Former Industrial City, describing Malmö's rapid journey from industrial city to a knowledge-based city – a city which is now moving towards sustainability.
