Our operations

VA SYD supplies both our own and purchased quality-assured drinking water directly to residents and businesses in the City of Malmö and the Municipalities of Lund and Burlöv. We treat wastewater from Malmö, Lund, Burlöv, Vellinge and parts of Lomma, Staffanstorp and Svedala. We are also in charge of the waste management in Malmö and Burlöv.

VERSATILITY

In order to supply drinking water and ensure that the wastewater is properly treated, conduits, pumping stations and wastewater plants must be kept operational and in good working order.

The entire process is adapted to the eco-cycle, ensuring minimum impact on the environment.

R&D and public information are also part of our commitment. Through different information channels we want to enhance the understanding of how our systems work and the role of each individual in the whole eco-cycle.

FINANCING THROUGH FEES

Water supply, wastewater treatment and waste management are financed entirely by fees.
