Gender equality and diversity at VA SYD

In VA SYD's Gender and Diversity Program we want to create a non-discriminatory work organisation where everybody feels welcome.

BEING A COMPETITIVE ALTERNATIVE ON THE JOB MARKET

VA SYD wants to be an employer of choice for our existing and future staff regardless of gender, ethnicity, religious or other beliefs, disabilities, sexual orientation or age. This is a necessary goal for us in order to meet the challenges of the future.

Everybody wins because what’s good for minorities is also good for the majority!

WE WANT TO REFLECT THE WORLD in which WE WORK

Our business plan shows that we are committed to working actively with gender and diversity issues in order to attract and retain highly qualified staff.

A diversified place of work with an organisation reflecting the world around us creates a better working climate. It helps us to meet our customers' varied needs and to provide good service.

And not least, having a diversified organisation with gender equality contributes to a positive development within all of VA SYD's sectors.

During 2010 VA SYD had 290 employees. 93 were women and 197 were men. 44 employees were of foreign extraction.
